Arandú meaning ‘to feel time’, is a vibrant band that merges Pop Culture with Latin Jazz and hints of soul and funk.

Arandú is a vibrant Latin Jazz fusion ensemble, interweaving hints of soul and funk to transport audiences on a wave of dynamic musical nuance. Based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, Arandú brings together a collective of international artists with deep roots in Latin, jazz, soul, and pop culture. Together, they craft an infectious blend of rhythm and melody, fusing traditional Latin grooves with modern jazz and contemporary influences to deliver performances that are as dynamic as they are electrifying.

At the heart of Arandú are musical innovators Josh Fotopoulos (piano) and Alejandro Vega (drums/percussion), who channel their diverse musical backgrounds into original compositions and imaginative reworkings of classic pieces. Their global musical experiences inform a sound that is rich, layered, and deeply resonant.

Together, their artistic vision is brought to life by a stellar lineup of internationally acclaimed musicians, including Grammy Award-Nominated trumpeter, Tom Jovanovic and powerhouse bassist Pablo Guzzo.

Adding to the richness of their unique sound is the rotating lineup of talented vocalists bringing their own flavour and emotional depth to enrich each Arandú performance with their dynamic interpretations that push the boundaries of latin jazz, soul and funk.
